Keep Your Teeth and Smile Safe While you Play
Dr. Rahimi-Thornton and our outstanding team are dedicated to keeping your smile healthy and free from discomfort. To help us do this, we provide several types of mouthguards at our office. We often recommend a type of mouthguard called an athletic mouth guard or sports guard for our athletic patients. Sports guards fit over your teeth while playing sports and participating in other athletic activities to protect your smile from injury.
Sports guards are vital for our patients who play high-contact sports such as wrestling, football, hockey, and rugby; however, all athletes can benefit from an athletic mouthguard. Whether you play soccer, basketball, or baseball, a sports guard can be a great way to protect your smile and keep it safe.
Custom-fit mouthguards are designed and produced at our dental office based on your requirements. Dr. Rahimi-Thornton will take necessary molds of your teeth based on which the custom-fit mouthguard will be made. This mouthguard offers great comfort, protection, and can be easily removed whenever you feel like it.
Mouthguards are protective, shield-like devices designed to cover and protect the patient’s teeth and gums. They can wear it during outdoor activities or even while they sleep (recommended for patients suffering from Bruxism). Patients can expect reduced injury, discomfort, and maximum protection while they are outdoors enjoying sport-related activities.
We even make custom Night Guards. Night grinding is a troublesome and often health-damaging condition. You may not be aware that you are grinding your teeth at night, but the symptoms will tell a different story. Headaches, jaw pain, tooth pain, fractured or unevenly worn teeth can be caused by grinding your teeth at night. Sleeping with a night guard can protect your teeth and help reduce or even eliminate the pain of night grinding.
